Any gunk in there? We suggest you clean the dirt, and scrape out whatever could obstruct your lock.
But it doesnāt stop there, no no. Weāre going to take it one step further and actually liberally coat the keyhole and key itself with a graphite-based lubricant. Work the key in and see if it opens smoothly.

Lock Mechanism
If that doesnāt cut it, there may be a mechanical issue. This is a bit of a tricky fix, but if you can handle itā- why not try it out, amirite?
Grab a screwdriver and loosen the screws securing the lock mechanism. Reason? They may not be aligned anymore. Gently realign them to their correct orientation and position. Tighten the screws back and voilĆ ! Residential doors all around the world, fixed!
